Today I spent some time working on my presentation for the ITS Panel Interview and Presentation that will take place sometime during the week of December 14th.  I knew that I didn’t want to do a boring old Power Point, and although I really do love Keynote, I thought I’d try something new.  I had heard about Prezi.com and even tried it out before, but I really never had a need to use it.  Prezi’s unique layout features, editor, and “canvas” allows you to be very creative with your presentation format.  No longer are speakers tied into the frame of slides and bulleted lists.  After spending several hours with this new web resource, I feel as though I have the basics ins-and-outs.  Browsing through some of the public Prezis on their showcase demonstrates very easily that I’m an amateur and this presentation application is awesomely versitile and caters to those who prefer their presentations to be less than linear.

For my project I chose to examine children and education today, as well as express my prediction for the future of education. I designed, wrote, and created the movie below as my vision of what schools could be like in the year 2025.

My task was to bring back some things that I gathered that relates to the course content. I thought it best to be short and sweet, so I created this short Google presentation to sum up, in a nutshell, what I got from NECC. Of course I have tons of resources, tools, links, and ideas to go through and organize, but this really is a “bigger picture” of what I took away from NECC. What do you think?
