About Dianne

By day, I’m a certified Instructional Technology Specialist working as an embedded Technology Coach for the Wissahickon School District in Ambler, Pennsylvania.  In my role, I work as an embedded Instructional Technology Coach in support of Wissahickon School District‘s 21st Century Teaching & Learning Laptop Initiative.  I work with teachers, administrators, students, and parents to ensure that the technology available is used efficiently, effectively, and in coordination with progressive and innovative lesson design and instructional practices.  Before becoming a Technology Coach in 2007, I taught high school French for 10 years and was identified as a Pennsylvania Keystone Technology Integrator in 2007.  In addition to the technology professional development workshops I develop and implements in my school district, I have presented conference sessions and workshops at ISTE and other local conferences, districts and organizations. I am also a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert Educator, Microsoft Innovative Expert Master Trainer and Professional Learning Specialist with the Northwest Council for Computer Education (NCCE).

By night and weekend, I am a wife, a mom and the goddess Soleil in the virtual world called Medievia. My husband works full-time on the game and I help out with the website and in-game publications. Being a part of this online international virtual game world for 20 years has absolutely broadened my outlook on the world, and on education. It is an interesting way to look at the world.

Mahatma Gandhi’s famous quote, “We must be the change we wish to see in the world”, is the inspiration that drives me to continue to work in melding together the worlds of education and technology. I am passionate about constantly connecting and collaborating with local and global colleagues to persistently develop knowledge of the essential skills and necessary tools to educate today’s learners in the ever-changing landscape of technology.
